Meet Our Team at Schwam-Wilcox & Associates

Jeff received his Associates degree from Valencia Community College then went to the University of Central Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in history in May of 2005. Jeff also went to Montreat College on a soccer scholarship. Before commencing his employment with Schwam-Wilcox & Associates, Jeff previously worked in specialty advertisement and promotions for several years before his passion for teaching and developing young minds took over. He became a certified teacher in 2005 and taught elementary school for Orange County Public Schools. In 2012, after having children of his own, Jeff joined Schwam-Wilcox & Associates as the Business Development/Marketing Manager. Outside of this role, Jeff is a Membership Ambassador, a Founding Member of the Golf Ambassador’s Association at the Citrus Club, and is part of the college football committee. Jeff is also a member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, boating, going to the beach and playing soccer as well as other sports.

Debbie joined Schwam-Wilcox & Associates in September 2016. She has a strong customer service background, and she was the founder and owner of Grafiks Communications, a graphic design and computer training company. Prior to joining Schwam-Wilcox & Associates, Debbie took time off to raise her three children and taught school for eight years. She received her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida. With her close attention to detail, customer service skills, and her passion for helping others, she is an asset to our clients. Debbie volunteers with several organizations, including the Central Florida Chapter of Association of Legal Administrators (CFCALA), the Kiwanis, and at several area theaters. She enjoys the theater, movies, reading and spending time with her children.

Giomayra joined Schwam-Wilcox & Associates in October 2014 as the Client Coordinator and has been promoted to paralegal. Giomayra’s past work experience includes six years in the areas of Consumer Credit Counseling and Home Buyer Education Counseling with a non-profit organization, focusing in the area of debt consolidation, pre-filing Bankruptcy, and educational credit counseling. Giomayra is very compassionate and caring and strives to give her most undivided attention to each and every client. Giomayra’s leadership and organizational skills allow her to assist clients through what may be their most troubling times. Giomayra keeps busy with her daughter, who is a World Champion Martial Arts Athlete and actress. Her daughter was recently featured in the movie Logan “Wolverine 3” as a mutant and part of the stunt team. She recently gave birth to her 2nd baby girl who has completed their Family.

Shannon Mata joined Schwam-Wilcox & Associates in May 2020. She has 8 years of experience in the Bankruptcy field as a legal assistant and paralegal. She has helped clients prepare and file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy relief and has also worked on the creditor side in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. Shannon grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Orlando in 2018. She loves spending time with her husband and their dog, Shaggy.

Rebecca Smith recently joined Schwam-Wilcox & Associates in 2022. She has a sales background with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She currently attends law school at John Marshall Law in Atlanta and hopes to practice family law, focusing on custody issues. Rebecca grew up in Peachtree City, GA and visits Orlando often. She loves traveling and spending time with her husband and their two daughters.

Amy Watson is a former school teacher in a self-contained, special needs classroom setting.  She enjoyed helping and watching her students learn and grow. Amy worked for the firm assisting with bankruptcy matters 2016-2017, and she has now returned to the firm in July 2022. She has BA with Dual Majors in Anthropology, Sociology and Education PreK through 12th grade. Amy is empathetic and caring, she enjoys helping other people. Amy is Married with three Children:  one son who is married and practicing law in the area of real estate, a daughter who works for a corporate law firm,  and her youngest daughter is still in college. Amy loves to travel and spend time with her husband and family. 

Shayna is a member of our firm family, and helps ease the stress for our clients and our GAL children. Shayna welcomes all of the visitors to our office with a friendly smile (it is true) and she entertains the children, keeps everyone happy, and truly reduces the stress for our clients who are working through a difficult time… look for her next time you stop by.

Joan joined Schwam-Wilcox & Associates in January 2017. Joan came to us with management and money handling experience. Prior to joining Schwam-Wilcox & Associates, Joan raised three children, including Camy B. Schwam-Wilcox, and enjoyed spending time with her eight grandchildren, and her very first great-grandchild. Joan was the proud mother of our office dog Shayna. Joan was originally from New York and has resided in Florida since 2005. Joan handled client correspondence, redacting discovery, file organization, and other administrative duties for our firm.  She will be truly missed by the staff and the clients, her memory is a blessing to all of us.
